How The Rock Responded To Being Named Most Iconic WWE Wrestler

The Rock makes his entrance at WWE WrestleMania 40

The Rock has commented on being named “The Most Iconic” WWE star in a recent poll.

The Rock has had one of the most legendary careers in the history of WWE. One of the biggest stars in the Attitude Era, The Great One has had renowned rivalries with the likes of The Undertaker, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, and Triple H, becoming an eight-time World Champion in the process. He is also widely regarded as one of the best wrestlers to ever hold a microphone and is a catchphrase machine.

When his original full-time run with the company ended in 2003, The Rock went on to conquer the movie world with a string of high-profile movies that led to him becoming one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood.

Since his return to wrestling in early 2024, The People’s Champ has become an integral part of WWE TV in the latest chapter of The Bloodline saga. Things culminated at WrestleMania 40 when The Rock was unable to prevent Cody Rhodes from defeating Roman Reigns and becoming the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

Now, despite his recent turn as a heel, fans have given The Rock another honor, naming him the “Most Iconic WWE Wrestler” in a poll for 2K Games which saw him get 72% of the votes. Responding to the news, Rock said he was “absolutely blown away.”

“Absolutely blown away.
Love you back.
THANK YOU.

Pro wrestling is in my blood.
Respect, passion, grit, love.
