The coming days look bleak for Seth Rollins.

The Visionary reportedly suffered a shoulder injury at Crown Jewel when he performed a coast-to-coast headbutt during his match against Cody Rhodes.

While WWE has not released any official statement, insiders have confirmed a legitimate injury to the World Heavyweight Champion.

This can cause massive ramifications to multiple storylines, even the one where Rollins was seemingly pitched as Roman Reigns’ opponent for WrestleMania 42.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer has revealed that the decision to take the title off Rollins could be executed as soon as the upcoming Monday Night RAW episode. In an unfortunate recent update, Meltzer disclosed that sources have informed him that The Visionary will have to undergo surgery. The current World Heavyweight Champion is also expected to miss WrestleMania 42 and possibly remain out of action post The Show of Shows.

Meanwhile, speculation about the legitimacy of the injury continues to prevail, considering how the 39-year-old pretended to have injured himself between this Saturday Night’s Main Event XL and SummerSlam.

An Injured Seth Rollins Should Not Be WWE Champion

As rumors continue around Seth Rollins’ shoulder injury, WWE personality Sam Roberts has opined that it is better if WWE takes the title off him, as an injured champion is not good for business.

I think I would just rather see the World Title get taken off of Seth Rollins. I think I would rather see the World Heavyweight Championship get vacated.

I think that I don’t want Bron Breaker’s first World Heavyweight title win to just be a 10-second squash with Seth Rollins. It just doesn’t feel like that’s the moment that we’ve been building to. It doesn’t feel like that.
