Gunther Issued Major Challenge By 40-Year-Old WWE Star

Gunther has been making headlines for several reasons, and two of the reasons are John Cena and Brock Lesnar.

The Ring General has been strongly considered for John Cena’s final match in WWE at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th, 2025.

Furthermore, Gunther is being named as Brock Lesnar’s opponent for WrestleMania 42.

Jey Uso wants to run it back with Gunther

The YEET Master dethroned The Ring General to become the World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania 41. However, the former World Heavyweight Champion ended the title reign 51 days later.

On RAW Recap, Jey Uso revealed that he wants to fight The Ring General once again. He further revealed that Gunther, Seth Rollins, and Drew McIntyre made him a better wrestler and helped him become this vast version of himself.

I want to fight Gunther again. Gunther made me better, man. Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre made me better, Uce. Coming to Monday Night RAW, I was going toe-to-toe with him every week, Uce. So, they taught me the game on what it’s like to stand on your own two feet. I belong here, you know what I mean? It took me a minute to figure that out myself, but I belong here. No one is going to knock me off the top.

Currently, Jey Uso is booked for a World Heavyweight Championship match against CM Punk for Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1st, 2025.
