Gunther Shares Further Criticism Of The Undertaker
Gunther has opened up about how he has more experience than The Undertaker in a certain part of the pro wrestling business.
The WWE World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER will be competing in one of the biggest matches at WrestleMania 41 when he defends his coveted title against the Men’s Royal Rumble winner, Jey Uso.
One week after bloodying Jey’s twin brother Jimmy Uso, Gunther looked like he was going to address the crowd on WWE Raw in Minneapolis, but Jey interrupted before Gunther could say a word.
Jey Uso told the crowd that because of what Gunther did to Jimmy, Jey had to tell his mom about her oldest son being in the hospital and needing stitches. As he spoke about how personal things have become, Jey said he realized he’s not afraid of Gunther anymore.
While staring the World Heavyweight Champion in the eye, Jey said that the night before WrestleMania, he’ll lay his head down, say a prayer for Gunther more so than for Jey, and ask the Lord to forgive Jey for the man he’s about to become. Jey went on to say he’d take the World Title from Gunther at WrestleMania, which the fans loved.
Gunther Takes A Shot At The Undertaker’s Coaching Ability
During a recent episode of WWE’s LFG show on A&E, Gunther appeared to talk to the WWE superstars in training with some career advice. The superstars in training are put on teams that are coached by legends like The Undertaker, Bubba Ray Dudley, Booker T and Mickie James. In his appearance on the show, Gunther was very stern with the young wrestlers while giving them advice and wanting them to be professional.
When he appeared on the show, Gunther talked to The Undertaker and wondered why a particular wrestler wasn’t presented differently by The Undertaker, who was her coach.
The World Heavyweight Champion appeared on the Raw Recap podcast with Sam Roberts and Megan Morant to talk about his approach on WWE LFG while making the point that he is experienced at training wrestlers while The Undertaker is not as experienced in that regard.
“There’s no adrenaline rush with that (doing appearances like WWE LFG). I’ve been teaching and coaching people in professional wrestling since — I don’t know how long. Must be more than 10 years now and I know my experience in that and I know what I’m looking for in people and I think in that regard, I have more experience than Taker has himself.
I don’t think he coached or trained a lot of people and it was my job that day to point out things I see and that’s what I did.”
In past episodes of his podcast, The Undertaker has praised Gunther heavily as somebody he wishes he could have wrestled during his career.
