Gunther Ends Jey Uso’s World Heavyweight Championship Reign On WWE RAW
Gunther defeated Jey Uso to win the World Heavyweight Championship on Monday Night RAW.
Jey Uso captured the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 41 by defeating The Ring General.
After a successful championship defense against Logan Paul at Saturday Night’s Main Event, the former Bloodline member put his title on the line again against Gunther on the June 9 episode of the red brand.
As the match went back and forth between the two superstars, both attempted to take each other out with the sleeper hold following multiple false finishes.
The Ring General finally succeeded in taking out his opponent as the referee announced Gunther as the new World Heavyweight Champion after Jey Uso passed out.

Ex-WWE employee predicted Gunther’s victory over Jey Uso
On a previous episode of The Coach & Bro Show, former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci discussed why the company decided to revisit Jey Uso vs. Gunther.
The former Senior Director of International Television predicted that Jey could lose the title because he may not have convinced the Stamford-based company executives with his representation:
It’s the same thing every week. Then you see Gunther and Jey now. They’re gonna, like, who cares? Do you really care about this? Unless Jey is gonna lose the title sometime soon. Maybe they don’t think he’s carrying it right or he’s not the great representation that they thought he would be. I just can’t figure it out.
It would be interesting to see what Triple H and his creative team have in store for Jey Uso after ending his 51-day World Heavyweight Championship reign.
