WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg has revealed that the end of his career is near as a retirement match is on the way.

The last time that Goldberg competed in a WWE ring was at the February 2022 Elimination Chamber PLE when he challenged Roman Reigns for the Universal Title. The two former football players known for using the Spear had a six-minute match that Reigns won cleanly.

Ever since then, Goldberg has spoken openly about how Vince McMahon made a deal with him to give the WWE Hall of Famer a retirement match. No match ever came to fruition but questions were raised about Goldberg’s future when he shockingly confronted Gunther at Bad Blood.

But now Goldberg has revealed the end is near for his career.

Appearing on the SEC Network, Goldberg confirmed he will have his retirement match in 2025 in WWE. The former WCW World Champion indicated that his opponent or “victim” would be Gunther but that remains to be confirmed.

2025 will be a massive year for retirements in WWE as John Cena has announced his retirement will come at the end of the year with his last matches at events like the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania to take place.
