Plans are underway for Goldberg’s final match in a WWE ring.

The 58-year-old WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg is planning to compete in one more WWE match at some point this year. While his retirement tour may not be promoted as heavily as John Cena’s, the former WWE and WCW World Champion wants to retire from pro wrestling his way.

Goldberg was last seen on WWE television at Bad Blood in October 2024, when he confronted Gunther, the World Heavyweight Champion at the time.

Since then, Goldberg has spoken openly about having one more match, and there have been numerous reports about WWE planning for it.

To prepare for his final match, Goldberg has been getting stem cell treatments while also talking about his body as if it was like rebuilding a car.

“I feel a little bit better, I’ve gained a little bit of weight man. Done a little kickboxing on the weekends. I’m getting there man, I’ve got a little bit of time left. Slowly but surely, Rome wasn’t built in a day.”

Where Is Goldberg’s Final WWE Match Going To Be?

While speaking to My San Antonio, Goldberg hinted that his final WWE match will be somewhere in the south.

“It’s going to be in the South. This gives me the opportunity to put a stamp on my career in front of the people I care the most about.”

The man known for delivering the Jackhammer wasn’t specific, but Fightful Select has revealed that the match is tentatively planned for Atlanta, which is where Goldberg called home for part of his life and played college football at Georgia and for the NFL’s Falcons.

As for the date of that final match, Fightful noted that WWE has a Saturday Night’s Main Event show on July 12th that is possibly taking place in Atlanta.

Fightful added that Goldberg “is absolutely being discussed for that planned show.”

There’s no official word about Goldberg’s final opponent, but Gunther’s name has been mentioned in the past and is an obvious choice based on their past interaction.
