Goldberg “Leaning Toward” Self-Promoted Retirement Tour

Goldberg WWE Hall of Fame

Goldberg last competed inside a wrestling ring back in February 2022 but the WWE Hall of Famer has no intention of calling time on his career quite yet.

The last time multi-time former World Champion Goldberg stepped inside the squared circle was when he competed in a losing effort for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber. His contract would go on to expire with WWE at the end of the year, and he is now considered a free agent.

Speaking to 93.7 The Ticket, Goldberg noted that he’s leaning toward promoting his own retirement tour despite Vince McMahon having a handshake deal with the star over having his last match in WWE:

“So, if I go on a world tour and promote it myself, that’s a possibility. Hey, I’m a businessman and I’m fortunately in the position, I firmly believe, to where I can still make it happen. At the end of the day, like I said, I do believe that my character deserves a proper send-off and until that happens, I don’t believe I’m hanging them up. So, anything and everything is an option.

“I’m very much leaning toward promoting it myself and doing a four city world tour. So, let the rumor mill start up after that.”

Where those four cities would be or who Goldberg would square off against in his last bouts remains to be seen but the star’s name has been discussed by fans as a possible draw to help AEW sell tickets for Wembley Stadium in London, England.
