Former WWE Star Set For AEW Debut [Spoiler]

Tony Khan AEW Triple H WWE

AEW is preparing for a new arrival.

On July 1st, Ricochet officially became a free agent, but it appears he won’t be on the market for much longer.

The star’s departure had been an open secret for a number of weeks after he informed WWE of his intention not to renew his contract.

The news came after AEW’s Will Ospreay spoke of his frustration at how Ricochet was being used in WWE. Ospreay said it was “appalling” that the star was being used on the company’s Speed show on X when he’s one of the greatest high-flyers in the world.

It’s now been reported via Fightful Select that Ricochet has signed a “multi-year agreement” with All Elite Wrestling. Furthermore, several people close to the situation have claimed the star is heading to London for All In on August 25th.

Ricochet is expected to make his debut on the show, although there’s no word on what he’ll be doing.

AEW Switch For Former WWE Tag Team On Hold

Meanwhile, it’s been reported that a potential AEW switch for former WWE stars The Grizzled Vets is being held up. The most recent report on the situation noted that the two sides are “far apart” on money.

Gibson and Drake teamed on the 27th of April edition of Collision taking The Acclaimed in their AEW debut but it was former tag team champions who grabbed the win. The pair have been expected to become All Elite for several months, but it remains to be seen whether a deal can be done.

Meanwhile, it appears that the Lucha Brothers are preparing to join WWE after reportedly already receiving an offer from the company.
