Former WWE Star Returning To Smackdown (SPOILER)
A familiar face is expected to return to WWE Smackdown to participate in an open challenge against the Smackdown Women’s Champion.
Former WWE women’s wrestler Tenille Dashwood, who wrestled as Emma in WWE, is at tonight’s Smackdown taping in St. Louis, Missouri according to a report from PWInsider’s Mike Johnson. The news was also confirmed by Fightful Select as well.
The report from PWInsider noted that Dashwood is expected to return as the woman that accepts the open challenge issued by Smackdown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey. It’s unknown currently if she will use her real name Tenille Dashwood or go with the Emma name that WWE fans know her as.
Dashwood worked for WWE starting in 2011 using the name Emma. She was pushed as a babyface on the NXT brand in the early days of Triple H booking WWE’s developmental brand.
During her run as Emma, she became a bit of a comedy figure that was often paired with Santino Marella. She also was supposed to return as Emmalina in 2017, but it never got off the ground for a number of different reasons. Dashwood was released by WWE in October 2017.
Earlier in 2022, Dashwood announced that she is dating Smackdown’s Madcap Moss.
Following her WWE release, Dashwood worked for Ring of Honor for about a year and also spent about three years in Impact Wrestling. Earlier in 2022, Dashwood was an Impact Knockouts Tag Team Champion along with Madison Rayne.
Welcome back to the talented Australian, Tenille Dashwood aka Emma.
