A former WWE star could be back with the company within days.
After months of speculation, it’s been reported that Kairi Sane has been added back onto WWE’s internal roster. The news comes after it was claimed Kairi Sane had agreed a return to the sports entertainment giant back in August.
Not only is Sane back, but she could return to TV screens very quickly. It’s been reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider that “word making the rounds” is that the star could appear at Crown Jewel on November 4th.
A further report from Fightful Select backed up Johnson’s suggestion that Sane is expected to be in the United States with WWE in the coming weeks.
Fightful adds that the company saw re-signing the star as a priority, and a potential deal was brought up in 2022. There have been several pitches made for Sane and her return hasn’t been kept a secret.
Johnson also noted that Grayson Waller has been pulled from live events over the weekend, and there has been talk he could be added to Crown Jewel.
When Was Kairi Sane Previously With WWE?
Kairi Sane signed with WWE in March 2017, initially competing in the first-ever Mae Young Classic. She went on to become NXT Women’s Champion and later Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside Asuka.
The star seemingly left the company in the summer of 2020 before working as an ambassador back in Japan. Her contract finally ran out in December 2021.
Since leaving WWE, Sane grabbed headlines when she became the inaugural IWGP Women’s Champion before losing the gold to Mercedes Mone.
