Kairi Sane Returning To WWE

A familiar face could be returning to WWE very soon with a new report claiming that Kairi Sane has agreed to return to the company.

It has been reported by PWInsider Elite’s Mike Johnson that Kairi Sane is expected to return to WWE very soon. Sane left the company in December 2021 on good terms. The PWI report noted that “her return will be imminent, possibly as soon as this week.”

While Sane’s actual departure was in December 2021 in terms of when her contract expired, she actually left the company in July 2020 due to wanting to live in Japan again. That was a time when the COVID-19 pandemic was really bad and a lot of things were shut down in the world.

On Twitter/X, Kairi Sane posted a video saying she will have a press conference tomorrow, which is today.

Whether that means Kairi is going to officially confirm her return to WWE or not is unknown, but obviously, the timing is interesting.

What Did Kairi Sane Accomplish In WWE?

Kairi Sane joined WWE in 2017 and she won the inaugural Mae Young Classic, which really made her stand out among a new group of women that were brought into the company to push the Women’s Evolution (or Revolution) at the time.

In addition to that, Kairi would go on to capture the NXT Women’s Championship and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Asuka. The team of Asuka and Kairi were known as the Kabuki Warriors. They had some great matches with teams like Sasha Banks & Bayley during their run as a team. Perhaps they will reunite as a team or WWE will have some other plan for Kairi when she comes back.

Post WWE, Kairi had plenty of success and can say she was the first ever IWGP Women’s Champion, which is a title she won in November 2022.

At 34 years old, Kairi Sane has many years of wrestling ahead of her and likely will be doing that in a WWE ring again very soon.
