Former WWE Champion Has High Praise For Samoa Joe

WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle has heaped praise on AEW star Samoa Joe.

Victory over MJF in the main event of AEW Worlds End on 30th December saw Samoa Joe win the AEW World Championship for the first time, having previously held the AEW TNT title on two occasions.

One previous foe of the new AEW World Champion is Kurt Angle. The pair were involved in a memorable rivalry in TNA Wrestling that was voted Pro Wrestling Illustrated Feud Of The Year in 2007.

In a recent edition of’ The Kurt Angle Show’, however, the former WWE Champion had nothing but good things to say about the villainous star, highlight his famed verbal skills:

“I’ll never forget, he did a speech for me when I got inducted into the Hall of Fame in TNA. So articulate.

I mean, the guy was just so good with words and how he expresses himself. He’s one of the best promo guys in the business right now.”

Angle would go on to congratulate the former WWE United States Champion on lifting the AEW crown and had high praise for the West Huntington Beach, California native, stating his delight at Samoa Joe’s anointment to the top of the AEW mountain:

“Congrats, Samoa Joe. He didn’t get it in WWE, but he got it in AEW, and I’m really proud of him because that guy is so talented. He is one of the greatest big men I’ve ever wrestled in my life.”

Rising AEW Star Issues Warning To Samoa Joe

Despite bringing MJF’s record-breaking AEW World Championship reign to a close at Worlds End, Samoa Joe is unable to rest with one up and coming AEW star already declaring that he is after the company’s top title.
