45-Year-Old Former WWE Champion Confirms Retirement
A former WWE Divas Champion has confirmed their retirement.
Jillian Hall was a popular name in the Stamford promotion between 2003 and 2010. Hall initially wrestled in Ohio Valley Wrestling before debuting on the main roster in 2005.
Hall was introduced as a heel character and a “fixer,” and featured alongside MNM (Joey Mercury, Johnny Nitro, and Melina).
One of her standout physical features was a growth on her left cheek, often referred to as a “blemish.”
Due to her success with MNM, Hall was approached by John Bradshaw Layfield to help him fix his reputation after his loss to Rey Mysterio.
She then managed JBL as his “image consultant” while herself feuding with Stacy Keibler. She was ultimately fired by JBL after accidentally slamming the door of a cage on his face during a steel cage match.
Jillian Hall also had a popular gimmick as a singer.
She won her first and only WWE Divas Championship on October 12, 2009, after defeating Mickie James, but lost it to Melina shortly afterwards, registering one of the shortest title reigns in the promotion.
Hall was released in November 2010, after which she made sporadic appearances, even competing in the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble match.
Ex-WWE Star Confirms Retirement From Wrestling
After her departure from WWE, Jillian Hall wrestled in the indies till 2013.
During a recent appearance on Ring the Belle, the 45-year-old confirmed her retirement from the profession, although stated that she was open to returning in the Royal Rumble match in the future.
I am retired from wrestling. I’m retired retired. Coming out to do this [interview] is a magical miracle. For you, I’ve come out of retirement. If the Rumble calls, there’s a 95 percent chance that I would say yes. The five percent would be like if it was on my daughter’s birthday or something. [H/T: Sportskeeda]
