Former WWE Champion Could Be Added To WarGames Match
WWE is considering making a big change to Survivor Series.
The November 6th episode of Raw was headlined by the World Heavyweight Title clash between Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn. After 20 minutes of back and forth, it was Rollins who grabbed the win to retain the gold, but that was only part of the story.
With the match over, Rollins was attacked by Judgment Day and JD McDonagh. Zayn quickly came to Rollins’ defence and he was soon joined by Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso in a wild brawl that has become a staple of Raw in recent weeks.
With officials doing their best to try and calm the situation, Adam Pearce decided enough was enough, and announced that the warring groups would settle their differences inside WarGames.
Despite the announcement, the two teams could get new members before stepping inside the famous double cage.
Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that WWE is considering adding Drew McIntyre to the Judgment Day team with a ‘babyface’ joining Rhodes, Zayn, Rollins, and Jey Uso.
The men’s War Games match right now is listed as having Seth Rollins & Sami Zayn & Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso vs. Damian Priest & Dominik Mysterio & Finn Balor & JD McDonagh. There were reports that this will change and McIntyre will be part of the Judgment Day team. I was just told that this is under consideration and could happen.
That would lead to someone having to be added to the other side. While there’s a roster full of people who would fit that bill, there is nobody obvious. Kevin Owens makes the most sense on a storyline basis.
Ricochet would fit from a spectacular basis but he’s questionable for that date due to the possibility of a concussion. Bronson Reed would be an unpredictable pick who would benefit from a main event.
Ricochet Suffers Concussion On WWE Raw
Any potential involvement from Ricochet remains up in the air after the star suffered a concussion in a Fatal-Four-Way match on Raw. As a result of the injury, the star kicked out during the planned finish of the match sparking confusion.
Although Ricochet is said to be fine, he reportedly doesn’t remember the majority of the match.
