Former AEW Star Relocating To Florida
Brian Pillman Jr.’s move to WWE looks set to be confirmed.
As reported by Fightful Select, the former AEW star is in the process of moving to Florida. While Daily’s Place in Jacksonville has been the location for many tapings of Dynamite and Rampage, it is likely that Pillman is looking to relocate to Orlando to be close to the WWE Performance Center.
Following reports circulating that one half of The Varsity Blonds had let his contract expire, eagle-eyed fans would notice that Pillman Jr. was no longer listed on the All Elite Wrestling roster page. The news of the exit was quickly followed up with information about the next stage of the former AEW talent’s in-ring career, which was Pillman Jr. being spotted training at the WWE PC.
Despite PWInsider reporting that Pillman Jr has officially signed with WWE, the company are yet to make any announcement regarding the matter as Pillman Jr. has yet to appear onscreen or be featured in any online posts from WWE, as has been seen in the past with previous new PC recruits.
Why Did Brian Pillman Jr Leave AEW?
The wrestler’s exit from All Elite Wrestling was recently brought up on announcer Jim Ross’ podcast Grilling JR. Ross believed that things were not working out between the two sides, but there would be plenty of future opportunities for the rising star.
Following multiple appearances for the promotion that began at the inaugural Double or Nothing pay-per-view, Pillman Jr. officially became All Elite in July 2021, signing a 2-year contract.
