Fired WWE Star Would Love Return
A former WWE star has admitted that he’d love a return to the company and thinks they only scratched the surface the first time around.
Elias was one of twenty WWE stars released in September 2023 as his nine-year stint in the company came to an end. Best known for his exploits on the guitar rather than his in-ring talents, Elias shared many memorable moments in the company including at WrestleMania 34 with John Cena.
Since his release, he now goes by the name Elijah and has competed for several independent promotions, sharing the ring with the likes of Speedball Mike Bailey, Matt Riddle, and the new TNA World Champion Joe Hendry.
But it seems a return to WWE isn’t out of the question.
Elias Open To WWE Return
Speaking at a virtual signing with K&S Wrestlefest, Elias discussed his time in WWE and thinks he had a lot more to give:
I thought it was awesome, a lot of great stuff. I had a lot of incredible, very memorable moments for me personally and probably for a lot of people. I loved it. Elias can and could and should do so much more in WWE. They only scratched the surface with my capabilities. I had a lot of great moments, some incredible guys to go up against.
Elias continued by saying he’d love a return to the company and can take inspiration from the likes of Carlito and Drew McIntyre:
I’d love that. Look, you see how the business works by now. You could be gone, Carlito was gone for ten years, look at Drew [McIntyre]. These things happen, for sure. Everybody has their own little story. I’m not writing it off. It’s not an immediate, man, I gotta do that. But if the opportunities come up, sure, we’ll see.
