Fired WWE Star Has Unfinished Business
An ex-WWE star could return to the ring.
After taking part in the sixth season of Tough Enough in 2015, Amanda Saccomanno signed a five-year contract with WWE. Saccomanno was subsequently given the name Mandy Rose and she spent the next two years competing in NXT before arriving on the main roster in late 2017.
Rose continued to compete across Raw and SmackDown, but it wouldn’t be until July 2021, when she returned to NXT that she would enjoy her most successful run. The star teamed with Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne and quickly won the NXT Women’s Title with the trio known as Toxic Attraction.
However, that run came to a shuddering halt on December 13th, 2022 when she lost the title to Roxanne Perez. 24 hours later WWE released Mandy Rose after reportedly becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the “explicit nature” of content she was posting on her FanTime page.
Mandy Rose Open To WWE Return
During an appearance at Highspots’ Virtual Gimmick Table, Rose said she still gets asked about wrestling every day and admitted she feels she has some “unfinished business.” However, she made sure to reiterate that she’s enjoying her time away from the ring and has no immediate plans to lace up her boots once again.
“I’m not sure. I don’t know if I have an answer for that. I know it’s the question I get asked all day every day about it. I feel like there may be some unfinished business in the ring with Mandy Rose, especially now things ended.
However I don’t also know…I don’t know where or when will be, if the right time, if the right place, and what that looks like because it’s such a what if thing.
I’m really enjoying my life right now and all the opportunities that I have and everything that I’m doing outside of wrestling and obviously involving wrestling as well like here [the signing]. But I really don’t know. I know it’s a very open-ended answer, but yeah, that’s all I got for you for that,”
Rose dipped her toes back into the wrestling world for the first time since leaving WWE back in September 2024 when she appeared at the BLP Wrestlers Combine event. At the time, the former NXT Women’s Champion said the appearance gave her the itch to wrestle again.
