Fans Surprisingly Greet Vince McMahon In Recent Appearance [Video]
Vince McMahon’s reckless driving case has been one of the latest turns in his long, controversial career. The 80-year-old former WWE boss faced court in Connecticut recently after crashing his Bentley over the summer.
It all started on July 24, 2025, when McMahon was driving his Bentley north on the Merritt Parkway in Westport, Connecticut. According to the police report, he rear-ended a BMW, slammed into a wooden guardrail, and scattered debris that even hit a car on the opposite side of the highway. State police reported he was traveling over 90 mph.
Fortunately, no one was injured, but the damage was enough for police to issue Vince McMahon misdemeanor summonses for reckless driving and following too closely. He later sent apology letters to the other drivers through his attorney. On Thursday, October 16, 2025, McMahon showed up at the Stamford Superior Court in Connecticut for his hearing.
According to reports and clips shared by News12 CT, fans began gathering more than an hour before he arrived at the courthouse that morning. Some carried WWE memorabilia, others just wanted a glimpse of McMahon. When McMahon finally arrived, dressed sharply in a dark suit and sunglasses, fans cheered and chanted his name, with many shouting, “We love you, Vince!” as he waved and briefly signed autographs.
What Happened at Vince McMahon’s Court Hearing?
Judge Gary White approved Vince McMahon’s application for a pretrial rehabilitation program, something often offered to first-time offenders. Under the ruling, McMahon has to make a $1,000 charitable donation and can only drive if properly licensed and insured. If he stays out of trouble for a year, the charges will be dismissed by October 2026. During the hearing, McMahon remained quiet, letting his attorney Mark Sherman do the talking.
Vince McMahon had no comments for the reporters outside after the hearing, but his attorney, Sherman, spoke with them, saying:
“It was good news. Not every car accident is a crime, and the judge agreed he deserved this dismissal, and we’re grateful for that.”
