Ex-WWE Star Recalls Vince McMahon Yelling About Match Ending

Vince McMahon WWE

A former WWE star recalls how Vince McMahon reacted to a big match ending poorly.

It is well-known among people who follow WWE that Vince McMahon was known for yelling at his announcers on commentary. Many people have complained about it in the past while others got used to it because it’s just part of that difficult job.

One of the worst WWE PPV/PLE main events in recent history was at Hell in a Cell 2019 when Seth Rollins defended the Universal Championship against late, great “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt in a Hell in a Cell match.

They would end up having a match that ended when Rollins used a sledgehammer against the ladder and chair that was on The Fiend’s head. It ended as a “match stoppage” although nothing was officially announced. The fans booed loudly for the finish and it was not a good way to end a show.

Former WWE superstar Mace was known as Dio Maddin at that time and he was part of the commentary team at that event along with Tom Phillips and Jerry Lawler.

Mace took part in a Reddit Q and A where he shared how Vince McMahon reacted to that finish.

“Bray and Seth HIAC was certainly the most memorable. I remember Vince yelling at me to stop trying to explain the finish and then the crowd threw trash at us as we left lmaooo.”

Vince McMahon Recently Attended A Boxing Match In Saudi Arabia

The days of Vince McMahon running WWE appear to be over, but he’s still involved in the company as the Executive Chairman of the company as part of the TKO Group.

Vince McMahon was in Saudi Arabia along with WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker on October 28th to watch the Tyson Fury/Francis Ngannou fight that was won by Fury. Meanwhile, WWE is in Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel on November 4th with Roman Reigns taking on LA Knight with the Undisputed WWE Universal Title on the line.
