Ex-WWE Star Returns To The Ring After Two Years Away, Wins Title
A former WWE superstar was back in the ring after not wrestling for the past two years.
The last time that Tyler Breeze had a match in WWE was on the June 15, 2021 edition of NXT when Fandango & Breeze defeated Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci, both of whom had different names at the time.
It was shortly after that match when Breeze, who is 35 years old, was released by World Wrestling Entertainment in June 2021. Breeze started with WWE as a developmental talent in 2010. During his WWE tenure, Breeze was an NXT Tag Team Champion with Fandango while also being part of the WWE main roster as well.
Using the tag team name of Breezango, Tyler Breeze & Fandango competed on the main roster for a few years while also doing their “Fashion Files” vignettes. They were never pushed to win Tag Team Titles on Raw or Smackdown, but the team was popular with the fans.
For the first time in two years, Breeze was back in a ring and he won a championship too! Breeze competed at Next Generation Wrestling’s Wrestle Wars event in Knoxville, Tennessee on Saturday night.
Breeze was in action against veteran wrestler Matt Cross, who Breeze defeated to become the NGW: TN Champion. Cross had a lengthy reign with the title since he held it for 615 days.
In addition to that, Breeze’s good friend Xavier Woods was there to celebrate with his friend.

Breeze was in the news earlier this week as well when it was reported that he’s under a World Wrestling Entertainment contract as part of the UpUpDownDown YouTube channel with Xavier Woods and other WWE superstars regularly appearing. Breeze has been a big part of the UUDD channel for several years and is one of Woods’ best friends.
