An ex-WWE star has grabbed eyeballs after debuting a new look on social media.

Matt Riddle was unceremoniously released from the Stamford promotion in September 2022 following a controversial incident.

At the time of his release, Riddle was involved in a tag team feud with The Viking Raiders, alongside Drew McIntyre.

His most popular run in the company came between 2021 and mid-2022, where he teamed up with Randy Orton to form the RK-Bro duo. They won the tag team titles twice.

His latest post shows him posing inside a washroom, donning red hair, with the caption reading, “Stay hard.”

Post-release, Matt Riddle has been grinding the independent circuit and has also wrestled in promotions such as MLW, NJPW, Lucha Libre AAA, and TNA.

Could Matt Riddle Return To WWE Through AAA?

Matt Riddle’s return to WWE is possible due to its acquisition of Lucha Libre AAA, a promotion to which he is signed.

However, whether the Stamford promotion wants to feature him on the main roster is a different question altogether.

His time with the company has been marred by controversies, including, by his own admission, failing random drug tests.

In 2024, Riddle spoke to USA Today about these incidents.

After failing the test twice, he underwent rehabilitation through a 30-day program. WWE wanted him to do another similar program, which he resisted.

Matt Riddle has fared well in AAA, winning the Cruiserweight Championship once, which he held from August 17, 2024, to December 7, 2024.
