Ex-WWE Star Makes Huge AEW Debut At All In

Tony Khan Smiling AEW

After weeks of speculation, the future of ex-WWE star Ricochet has now been revealed as he becomes All Elite at AEW All In.

In recent weeks it became apparent that Ricochet was heading out of WWE as his current deal with the company came to an end. Recently, several stars in the company have signed new deals as they neared the end of their old ones but Ricochet is said to have made clear that he would not be re-signing and was on his way out.

On July 1st, Ricochet officially became a free agent but he did not stay that way for long. Fightful Select reported that Ricochet has signed a “multi-year agreement” with All Elite Wrestling and it hasn’t taken long for the former Intercontinental Champion to make his debut for Tony Khan’s company.

Ricochet Debuts In AEW

At AEW All In, a Casino Gauntlet match took place with the winner being guaranteed a future shot at the AEW World Championship. With the bout able to end at any point thanks to pinfall or submission, an early entry is a benefit and Orange Cassidy won his spot as the number one entrant to kick things off.

He was soon joined by his ex-CHAOS teammate Kazuchika Okada but if Wembley had a roof it would have come off for the third entrant, AEW announcer Nigel McGuinness who was competing in his first match since 2011.

G1 Climax winner Zack Sabre Jr. was the next surprise and after fans got their highly anticipated showdown between Adam Page and Jeff Jarrett, Ricochet made his AEW debut as he joined the match.

Despite losing the AEW Trios Title earlier in the night and apparently going their separate ways, Luchasaurus returned to that name to help Christian Cage win the match as he chokeslammed Kyle O’Reilly and placed Cage on top of his prone body. Christian Cage will now get a shot at the AEW World Championship against Bryan Danielson or Swerve Strickland.
