Ex-WWE Star Has 1 Year Left In Wrestling

A former WWE star has revealed that time is running out fast on their wrestling career.

WWE has never been shy about cutting talent, and that’s never been clearer now that the company is under the ownership of TKO. In late 2024, Baron Corbin dominated the headlines when he was told his WWE contract was not being renewed before it emerged that Tegan Nox and Indi Hartwell had also been let go by the company.

Hartwell has resurrected her career in TNA, and it looked like Nox had the chance to do the same in AEW under the name of Nixon Newell. But that chance looks to have come to a bizarre end.

Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize left Collision after learning plans for them to lose to Anna Jay and Tay Melo in three minutes. This came after Newell and Alize made their debut for the promotion, losing to a dominant Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir. Both of those teams are involved in the ongoing AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament.

But it seems time is of the essence for one of these stars.

Ex-WWE Star Nixon Newell Has One Year Left In The Ring

Speaking on her Twitch channel, Nixon Newell claimed that there was no bad blood despite the AEW walkout, but interestingly, noted that her wrestling career is coming to an end:

This is my last two years in wrestling; we’re already a year gone. So I want to have fun this last year. It is what it is.

Newell will turn 31 in November 2025, but during her career, she has suffered several serious knee injuries that have kept her on the shelf for significant amounts of time. Newell’s knee issues first started in her teenage years when an injury put a premature end to her football career.
