Ex-WWE Star Finally Confirms In-Ring Return After Two-Year Absence
A former WWE star is getting back in the ring.
On August 10, it was confirmed that Karrion Kross and his wife, Scarlett, had left WWE after their contracts expired. The departures surprised many as they’d enjoyed an incredible rise in popularity in 2025.
In the days after their departure, Karrion Kross denied that the situation was a work, while confirming that he was offered a contract by WWE. However, he also revealed that Scarlett wasn’t offered a new deal with WWE, only committing to talks after coming to an agreement with Kross.
Scarlett To Wrestle Again Following WWE Exit
While much of the focus has been on Karrion Kross, Scarlett is also looking to resume her in-ring career.
Although wrestling was something of a rarity for the star during both WWE stints, she has wrestled regularly on the independent scene and in TNA, AAA, and Ring of Honor previously.
In a new interview with Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture, Scarlett confirmed that she will be returning to the ring in the coming weeks. Although she didn’t get into details, she added that she’s going to be teaming with one of her former trainers.
“We’re going to work and put on killer matches. We’re actually going to be tagging with someone who helped train me very soon. I don’t know if I’ll drop that yet. My first match back, I’m really excited about it. I will be wrestling again, which I’ve been wanting to do.
We have a lot of cool stuff coming up, and we have ultimate creative freedom. We can do whatever we want. We’re going to take advantage of this time because who knows how long it’s going to be.”
When asked how she was feeling about her comeback, Scarlett admitted she was nervous, but explained that she always got good feedback on her matches in WWE.
“Nervous, but at the same time, every time I’ve gotten back in the ring, it’s still in me. When I had my first match back after 455 days in WWE, it was against Rhea on a house show, and I was so nervous, but we killed it. Abyss told us we killed it. Molly Holly told us we killed it. ‘Oh, let’s get you in more matches.’
Nothing happened after that, but I was told by everybody, ‘I heard you did great.’ My first singles match in WWE on the main roster was against Lyra, and she was called to the main roster. Everyone loved it. Even when I get nervous, ‘Oh, I haven’t wrestled in a while,’ it turns out good. I think I still have that in me. I just try to remember who the f*ck I am. I’m f*cking ready.”
Scarlett’s last match was on December 29, 2024 when she teamed with Karrion Kross, Akam, and Rezar against the Wyatt Sicks at a live event. She hasn’t wrestled on television since teaming with Kross to beat AJ Styles and Michin on June 16, 2023.
During a recent interview, Drew McIntyre threw his support behind Karrion Kross and Scarlett, tipping the pair to land on their feet.
