Ex-WWE Champion Will Allegedly Return Despite Blasting Company
A current WWE champion believes a woman who once held a title could return in the future.
Mandy Rose was the WWE NXT Women’s Champion for 413 days, from October 2021 to December 2022. Days after losing the NXT Women’s Title to Roxanne Perez, Rose was fired by the company because the company felt like she went too far in terms of posting online content for fans. Rose worked for WWE for over seven years at the time of her release.
In the nearly three years since then, Rose has gotten married and has bragged about making “life-changing money” as a content creator, among other things. Rose has not continued her wrestling career in another promotion, but she does appear at various conventions sometimes.
Regarding her past, Mandy Rose had some strong remarks about how WWE saw her as a sex symbol who was treated as “just a body” instead of being valued as a person.
“Listen, I’m a beautiful woman. I’m being confident, not cocky. And they can use this as a way of developing storylines, developing characters, and basically using me as the s*x symbol in a way where they can monetize off of it.
But then, all of a sudden, I go and do this on my own, just having a direct relationship with my fans doing exclusive content, and all of a sudden within 24 hours, I get stripped from my 413 title reigns, I get fired with zero warning, and I’m sitting there like, ‘Wait!’
They praised the body, but ignored the person. In WWE, I became a “s*x symbol.” The look. The walk. The crowd reaction. It was all part of the brand—until it started branding me.
Behind the glam was pressure. Scrutiny. Expectations that had nothing to do with who I really was. I had to fight to reclaim my identity. To remind the world—and myself—that I was more than a body in the ring. Success isn’t selling a fantasy. It’s surviving it—and still choosing to stand in your truth.”
Jacy Jayne Thinks Mandy Rose Could Make WWE Comeback
During Mandy Rose’s WWE NXT Women’s Championship reign, she was joined by Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin to form a group called Toxic Attraction. Jayne and Dolin were two-time NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions during their run with Rose in Toxic Attraction.
Currently, Jacy Jayne is the WWE NXT Women’s Champion and the TNA Knockouts Champion, with multiple challengers coming for her titles.
When Jayne was asked by Ten Count Media about a possible WWE return for Mandy Rose, Jayne made it clear that it certainly could happen.
“Yeah, probably. I feel like you said, everybody eventually makes their way back here. I know Mandy. I know — I feel like she would come back. If the opportunity was right, the story was right, all the stars aligned, yes. For sure.”
A return for Rose would likely set up a match against her former protege, Jayne, which is an idea to which Jayne seems open.
“I’ve grown a lot since she left, so let’s see if she can keep up now.”
While Mandy Rose has criticized her former employee in the past, she has also stated that a WWE return would “have to be something juicy” if she were to step into the ring again.
