Ex-WWE Manager Believes Nick Khan Was Responsible For Vince McMahon’s Retirement

Vince McMahon

A former manager has an interesting if not conspiratorial theory about Vince McMahon’s departure from WWE.

Vince McMahon ran WWE for about forty years and the general mindset around him was that Vince would die before he surrendered his company to someone else. However, a series of allegations and hush money payments caused Vince to retire suddenly on July 22nd.

While the shock of Vince’s departure has died down, speculation about the circumstances surrounding it remains. One person, former manager Dutch ‘Zeb Colter’ Mantel, believes that Nick Khan was brought in for the sole purpose of ousting Vince McMahon.

Speaking on his Story Time with Dutch Mantel podcast, Mantel expanded on his theory, saying that the first stories and allegations against Vince were leaked to the public by Nick Khan himself:

“Nick Khan. I think that’s why he was sent there. […] They can’t prove it. I think he was sent there because they were expecting, this is what you use in world politics, a regime change. That’s what he was actually sent in there and they started to cut all this talent and cutting the talent. […] Nick Khan did it. He and his people did it. […] [Who is they?] The board.”

Mantel went on to suggest that both Triple H and Stephanie McMahon both knew more than they let on. He also theorized that Stephanie’s sudden ‘stepping away’ was intentional; that it was done so that nothing could be pinned on her in any way.
