Ex-WWE Star Knows Of Incident Even Worse Than Vince McMahon Allegations

Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon has been accused of sickening behaviour in a lawsuit but now one former WWE star reveals they know of an even worse allegation.

Vince McMahon has been accused of sexual assault and sex trafficking in a lawsuit that is also aimed at WWE and former Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis.

Individual allegations spelled out in the lawsuit are horrifying as are the text messages McMahon allegedly sent to the complainant. But with WWE and McMahon under the spotlight, it seems there are even more allegations that could come to light.

Speaking to News Nation, former WWE star Paul Roma, who mainly competed in WWE between 1984 and 1991, was asked if he was ever aware of any allegations during his time in the company and if the ones made against Vince McMahon in the lawsuit sounded like the McMahon that he knew:

Yes. It was pretty regular, on a regular basis for the most part. Then you wouldn’t hear for a while and then it would come full circle. But it wasn’t so much Vince as it was the people he had surrounding him. You are talking about an industry where you have young, good-looking, well-built men in the ring, three-quarters naked. So yeah, it left a door open and he had a lot of people around him.

Vice Presidents, Bookers that were very much into that and they put you in a really bad situation, especially once you started making some money, you kind of get comfortable with that. Then you find out that your job is on the line, either do it or get fired. I witnessed quite a few that walked away, money wasn’t worth it for them to go that route, so to speak.

“They Were Asked To Do Sexual Things” – Ex-WWE Star Paul Roma

Roma was then asked what happened to those people who chose to walk away and he said an ex-tag team partner of his was among them and made clear he believes they did so because they were asked to do sexual things with other men that they did not want to do:

They were asked to do things, sexual things, with other men that they did not want to do, my former partner being one of them. I was actually in a cab ride in Washington. We were coming back and the gentleman next to me kept saying it’s not worth it, it’s not worth the Benjamins. I’m like, what are you talking about? He said it’s not worth it. I said, what are you talking about? What’s not worth it? He said it’s just not worth it.

We got back to the hotel, the next day we were filming for a second TV taping, and he was gone. He jumped on a flight, went back home and never showed up again to wrestle. He had an unfortunate accident, hit his head and passed away while he was asleep. He had a bleed on the brain.

Although Paul Roma says he was not told who was behind the alleged behaviour, he believes that sexual propositioning was taking place:

Sexual favours. And one of my former partners when I was part of The Young Stallions, he was propositioned. He said he went to one of the agents and told them what had happened. I said why would you do that? You just ratted on both of us. So, he kind of threw us both under the bus.

Roma re-asserted that he had not been told any names but this was his response when asked directly if he had been told it was executives in WWE that had been propositioning talents:

Let’s look at it this way, that’s all it could be. If someone is going to give you money it has to be that, there is nothing else. It’s not going to be one of the boys that you are wrestling with, they are not going to offer you money. Even my former partner, same thing, they offered him money and drugs, just lay on your back, you don’t have to do a thing.

He came running right to me when I came to TV. I said, dude, what are you gonna do? He said I already spoke to Arnold. I said why would you do that? You killed our team, what do you think he’s going to do? He’s going to go to the people who propositioned you. What do you think is gonna happen then? Nothing.

Comments made by another former WWE star Mario Mancini were put to Roma when Mancini claimed he knew of an incident that was even worse than those contained in the lawsuit against Vince McMahon. Roma said he knew of the incident Mancini was referring to and said they are both surprised no one has come forward about it:

I really shouldn’t right now, but I do know what it is, and it is worse.

Mario and now are really surprised, we spoke about it, and we are really surprised that no one has come forward. But, on the flip side, I think that they are of an age now, they may be married or have kids and they don’t want to open Pandora’s box. I can’t blame them. I said that to Mario, can you blame them? Do you want to open this up, this can of worms? No. You wouldn’t want to open it up.

As well as the situation surrounding Vince McMahon, he is now not the only McMahon under the spotlight. Stephanie McMahon has been accused of knowing about the alleged rape of ex-WWE star Ashley Massaro with suggestions that WWE tried to keep the accusation under wraps.
