Ex-WWE Champion Still Not Signed To New Deal As Contract Winds Down
A WWE veteran could be on the verge of leaving the company.
Despite being offered a new contract by WWE in recent weeks, Natalya’s future with the company remains in doubt.
There have been talks between the two sides, but as of May 30th, nothing has been signed, leaving the star on the brink of free agency.
Reporting on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed the veteran hasn’t signed a new contract.
“Yeah, she hasn’t signed a new deal. I don’t know if that’s anything to be alarmed over or anything like that, but that is the situation.”
Natalya has spent the vast majority of her career with WWE after joining the sports entertainment giant back in 2007. The star was famously the only female graduate from the original Hart Family Dungeon and holds several company records including the most wins by a female wrestler, and most matches by a female wrestler at WrestleMania, on Raw, SmackDown, and PPV.
Chad Gable Could Leave WWE
The update comes as it was reported Chad Gable could be a free agent within a matter of days.
Although WWE would like to retain Gable, there’s said to be interest across the industry should the star become a free agent. Furthermore, there will be a “strong push” from talent in other companies to sign Gable should he become available.
Several MMA companies have also expressed an interest in working with Gable, should the possibility arise.
Meanwhile, it’s been reported that Becky Lynch is planning an extended break from the ring when her WWE deal expires on June 1st.
