Ex-WWE Champion Breaks Silence On Online Beef With Paul Heyman
Paul Heyman and Braun Strowman were recently engaged in an online beef.
The social media feud between Heyman and Strowman started after Paul Heyman said on the October 6 edition of WWE Raw that Bronson Reed was the only man who ever put Roman Reigns on a stretcher after their brutal match at Clash in Paris. The Oracle claimed that before that incident, The Tribal Chief had never been beaten so badly to need a stretcher.
Ex-WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman, who had a famous backstage attack on Reigns in 2017, where he not only put Reigns on a stretcher but also flipped the ambulance, called out Heyman’s comment on social media.
Strowman jokingly called Heyman “Oswald Cobblepot,” referring to the Batman villain The Penguin, implying Heyman’s claim was false. Paul Heyman responded sarcastically, saying he was relieved to hear Strowman was still alive, which many didn’t expect.
Braun Strowman Has “No Problem” With Paul Heyman
The public exchange quickly escalated into a social media back-and-forth and generated a lot of buzz online. That said, Strowman recently commented on his beef with Paul Heyman during his interview with TMZ’s Inside the Ring. This is what he said:
“I gotta stop you right there. I keep getting this ‘tweeting with Paul Heyman.’ I never even talked about Paul or acknowledged Paul. I don’t know why he got so upset and came at me with thinking that I was a kid — especially because he gets to see my face every commercial break on SmackDown. And let’s be for real, if anybody knows about me having a show about ordering everything on the menu, you’d think Paul would know.”
The Monster Among Men confessed he didn’t mean to upset anyone or cause any drama whatsoever.
“I have no idea. I guess I struck a nerve or something. I don’t know. I didn’t deliberately, intentionally mean to talk to him or any of that stuff. Maybe he’s just sensitive or something. Or maybe he misses me. That’s probably what it is. People wait and hear struggling a little bit, and they realize that when the monster’s on TV, it draws ratings. So, who knows? I have no problems with nobody. I’m my own man. I can handle business how I need to handle business.”
