Ex-World Champion Advances In John Cena’s Tournament On WWE SmackDown
A former World Champion has booked his ticket to the second round of the “Last Time Is Now” tournament on WWE SmackDown.
Earlier this year, John Cena kicked off his farewell tournament, announcing his retirement by the end of this year. The Leader of the Cenation is set to compete in his last match on December 13 at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
The 48-Year-Old Legend recently announced a 16-man tournament to determine his final opponent. The tournament kicked off last Monday with two huge matches.
Cena’s former rival, Rusev, advanced to the second round after defeating former World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest. Another historic rival of The Never Seen 17, Sheamus, also qualified following a victory over Shinsuke Nakamura.
Jey Uso Beats The Miz To Advance In John Cena’s Tournament On WWE SmackDown
Tonight on SmackDown, another historic rival of Cena, The Miz, squared off with Jey Uso for a chance to face the 17-time world champion in his final match.
The Awesome One has been vocal about his desire to share the ring with the man he beat at WrestleMania 27 one final time before the latter hung up his boots.
However, the two-time Grand Slam Champion failed to book his ticket to the quarterfinals after falling short against the leader of the Yeet movement. Jey Uso has now become the third superstar to advance in the “Last Time Is Now” tournament.
