One of the more unique stars in wrestling history has shared a photo back in a WWE ring as they were present for SmackDown in Detroit.

The 20th of January edition of SmackDown showcased some of the best tag team wrestling in the company as the SmackDown Tag Team Championship Number One Contenders Tournament began. It seemed appropriate that tag team action took centre stage on the week that the wrestling world lost one of the most decorated tag team stars of all time, Jay Briscoe.

The Banger Bros of Drew McIntyre and Sheamus defeated The Viking Raiders in the first round with Hit Row also making it to the semi-finals at the expense of Los Lotharios. The other two semi-finalists are Imperium – who defeated The Brawling Brutes – and Legado del Fantasma – who beat the Maximum Male Models.

One of the thousands in attendance for the show was former WWE Superstar Zach Gowen. Gowen is famous for being a one-legged wrestler whose WWE career began in 2003 and instantly saw him sharing the screen with the likes of Stephanie McMahon, Kurt Angle, and Brock Lesnar.

Gowen even went one-on-one with Vince McMahon at Vengeance 2003, a match that McMahon won. Zach Gowen did pick up a pay-per-view win three months later when he defeated Matt Hardy at No Mercy.

Zach Gowen took to social media to share a photo of him and two of his sons attending SmackDown and even joked that he was there to campaign for WWE to bring back the SmackDown fist.
