Ex-NXT Star Brought Back To WWE In New Role

WWE Logo over Roster

Former NXT UK star Eddie Dennis is back working for WWE in an entirely new role.

Dennis had been part of the NXT UK roster since the summer of 2018 when the brand began until his release from the company in August 2022. That came as part of a raft of releases from the brand as WWE discontinued it in the hopes of rebuilding with an even bigger NXT Europe brand in the future.

Now the Welsh star is back with the company but it seems he will be foregoing lacing up his boots again as a welcome video featuring new employees on WWE’s LinkedIn confirmed that Dennis will be working as a writer/producer for NXT.

Dennis’ last match under the WWE umbrella came back in July 2022 when the Chase U team of Andre Chase and Bodhi Hayward defeated Eddie Dennis and Saxon Huxley in a tag team match. In less than a year, Chase is the only man in that match still a part of the active roster in the company.

After leaving WWE, Eddie Dennis continued to wrestle and was in the ring as recently as March 2023 for RevPro in a Rumble match that featured fellow NXT UK alumni Mark Andrews, Trent Seven, and Sha Samuels.

The news of Dennis’ appointment comes when a report noted that another former NXT UK star had been seen at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
