Released NXT Star Seen At Performance Center

WWE NXT Performance Center

The WWE Performance Center has long been the home to the developmental brand NXT and it was paid a visit by a former star of the UK’s own version of the brand.

NXT UK was introduced to much fanfare in June 2018 as the United Kingdom got its own WWE brand to showcase the best talent from outside North America. WWE stars and champions came through the brand on their way to superstardom and the main roster including Rhea Ripley, Gunther, and Pete Dunne.

PWInsider Elite reported that former NXT UK star Sha Samuels was at the WWE Performance Center on the 1st of May but there was no word regarding on what he was doing there or if that is an indication that he could be on his way back to the company. Prior to his run in WWE Samuels had been a part of the World of Sport revival in the UK that also featured fellow English star Will Ospreay.

Samuels had been part of the NXT UK brand since early 2021 but he was released from his deal in August 2022 alongside a host of other talent from that brand as it was shut down. WWE was said to be planning a new NXT Europe but there is no word on when that brand will take shape.
