A former WWE NXT Champion appeared at TNA Impact tapings and was featured in a big way.

TNA Wrestling tapes its flagship show Impact in advance, usually with tapings on back-to-back nights, which leads to multiple shows being taped.

There are two nights of tapings on Friday, March 28th, and Saturday, March 29th, at the St. Joseph Civic Arena in St. Joseph, Missouri.

At the tapings on Friday night, former NXT Champion Ethan Page made a surprising, unannounced appearance. Page was a part of the TNA roster from 2017 to 2021 and was one half of the former championship team known as The North with Josh Alexander. They were two-time Impact World Tag Team Champions. Page left the company in 2021 and signed with AEW for a three year before signing with WWE in 2024.

According to Twitter/X user @thejordanbass, Ethan Page showed up to confront Frankie Kazarian after Frankie said he was cashing in his ‘Call Your Shot’ opportunity against TNA World Heavyweight Champion Joe Hendry.

Page informed the TNA audience that he had already signed for a match against Joe Hendry for the TNA World Title, so now the title match will be a triple threat match at TNA Rebellion, which takes place on Sunday, April 27, 2025.

There is a history between Ethan Page and Joe Hendry since they headlined the NXT No Mercy PLE in October 2024 when Page successfully defended the NXT Title against Hendry in the main event of that show.

Ethan Page Wants To Wrestle Former TNA Champion

During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Page named former TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth as somebody he would like to wrestle.

“Nic Nemeth and I have never crossed paths. I was a TNA Impact guy while he was a WWE guy and at one time an NXT guy. Now, the roles have reversed. I’m the NXT guy and he is Mr. TNA. So that, to me, is a big match that I would love to see happen. So, if we could, I would. There you go.”

After losing to Je’Von Evans at NXT Roadblock, Ethan Page was back to his winning ways on NXT this week when he defeated Andre Chase in singles action.
