Polarizing Ex-IMPACT Wrestling Star Returning To The Ring

Impact Wrestling

Former IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Tessa Blanchard is looking to put her controversial past behind her as she signs a multi show deal with a US promotion.

Blanchard became a huge star in IMPACT Wrestling as she followed in Chyna’s footsteps and started wrestling the company’s male stars. In early 2020 at the Hard To Kill event Tessa Blanchard defeated Sami Callihan to win the IMPACT World Championship and then the pandemic shut the wrestling world down for a spell and things between IMPACT and Blanchard seemed to go south.

She wrestled her last match for the promotion in March and was released from her contract just days before it was due to expire and stripped of her title as a result.

Also in early 2020 allegations were made against Blanchard – which she denies – of bullying and racism from fellow competitors leading some to regard the second-generation star as a controversial figure. Although she recently appeared to make amends with one of those who accused her, La Rosa Negra, who recently shared a picture of the two together on social media.

Now Tessa Blanchard looks set to return to the ring in the US with XPW advertising her for their Broken, Beat & Scarred event on May 27th, the first date of a “multi show deal” she is said to have signed with the promotion.
