Ex-Champion Explains 19-Month WWE Absence: “People Don’t Like Me”
A former champion in WWE has claimed that the reason they’ve been missing for 19 months is that people don’t like him.
The last time WWE fans saw the giant Omos on their screens was back in April 2024, when he was part of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, won by Bronson Reed.
Since then, Omos made something of a name for himself in Japan as part of Pro Wrestling NOAH, where he captured the GHC Tag Team Championship with Jack Morris. He also popped up in the now-WWE-owned AAA in August 2025, where he won the Copa Bardahl Cibernetico.
Omos has made appearances on live NXT shows in recent months, but he’s not any closer to a return to the WWE main roster or television, and now he’s explained why he thinks that is.
Omos Wants WWE Fans To Like Him
Speaking on Muscle Memory, former Raw Tag Team Champion Omos claimed that the reason for his absence was that fans didn’t like him, and until that changed, he’d continue to appear where he’s appreciated:
You people don’t like me, that’s why I’m not on TV. The moment you guys change your tune I’ll be back on your TV screens.
Until then I’m gonna go to where I’m loved. They love me overseas, they love me everywhere else. I went to Japan and had a blast. I went to Mexico and had a blast. Did a little side gig in NXT, it was fun but you know, they don’t have love for your boy like the Omosapiens do.The more people that become Omosapiens, maybe I just swoop back onto your TV screen. Who knows.
