Ex-AEW Star Stuns Jack Perry With Title Challenge

Jack Perry entrance AEW Collision

Jack Perry came face to face with a familiar rival on AEW Collision.

After winning the TNT Championship at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, Jack Perry laid down an open challenge for Collision on July 6th.

To the surprise of Perry, and just about everyone else, that challenge was answered by former AEW star Marko Stunt. The pair have a lengthy history together, having formed Jurassic Express with Luchasaurus back in 2019.

With Collision taking place in Mississippi, Stunt was a huge hometown favourite, but despite a valiant effort, he was unable to dethrone the champion.

Stunt left AEW in March 2022 after his contract wasn’t renewed, with his last match for the company coming in September 2021.

AEW Collision Results – July 6th

Collision opened with a fired-up promo from MJF just days after his brutal assault on Daniel Garcia. The former World Champion had Will Ospreay’s music play, but he wasn’t there, MJF repeatedly ran down the British star calling him a “two-faced coward.”

In the main event, Hangman Adam Page got the better of Jay White to secure a spot in the Owen Hart Cup finals. The win came after a not-so-small helping hand from Christian Cage who hit White with a Spear in the closing stages.
