Ethan Page Comes Out On Top At NXT Deadline

NXT superstar Ethan Page is one of the longest-reigning champions in the brand’s history. He even became a double champion in WWE recently, cementing his status as one of the best wrestlers on the NXT roster.

All-Ego is the brand’s current North American Champion and has held the title for almost 200 days, and recently won the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships along with Chelsea Green. Page and Chelsea defended the titles against Mr Iguana and Lola Vice at AAA Day of the Dead last month.

After seemingly putting Mr Iguana behind him, he was booked by the NXT General Manager, Ava, to defend his North American Championship against Mr Iguana tonight on Deadline.

The North American Champion dominated most of his match against the AAA superstar as he tried to keep hold of his championship. Page took out Mr Iguana with multiple moves and even spat in his Iguana puppet before throwing it away.

That act put Mr Iguana briefly in control and fans believed that he might actually win the first-ever singles title of his career. However, Page came back into the match soon enough and hit him with a Twisted Grin to seal his win.
