Edge Reveals A Very Unique “Wrestler’s Curse”

Edge has commented on a very interesting “wrestler’s curse” that was brought up during a recent interview.

As a WWE Hall of Famer that has done it all in his career that started 25 years ago in 1998, Edge remains an active competitor at 49 years old with his 50th coming in October.

Over the last year, the man whose real name is Adam Copeland has openly talked about likely retiring from WWE at some point within the next year. Whether that is this year or in the first half of next year is unknown and even Edge himself doesn’t know for sure.

Since coming back to WWE as an active wrestler in 2020 after nine years out of action, Edge has proven that he never lost it and remains one of the best wrestlers in the company. Edge has had big matches with the likes of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Randy Orton and all of the Judgment Day members including a Hell in a Cell match with Finn Balor at WrestleMania 39, which the WWE Hall of Famer won.

During a recent episode of Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, the discussion turned to Edge’s wife Beth Phoenix, and how they have two daughters. That led to Edge speaking about the “wrestler’s curse” where many of them end up having daughters, but not sons.

“It seems like it and it’s called ‘the wrestler’s curse.’”

There are some other legendary wrestlers that have multiple children that are only female and that group includes The Rock, Triple H (they both have three daughters each) and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

Obviously, any parent is going to love their child whether it’s a girl or boy, so it’s not like it was a complaint. In Edge’s case, he spoke about how he felt like he was meant to be a “girl dad.”

“Although, all of that being said, I realized that I was put here to be a girl dad. You also realize like instantaneously, ‘Oh, I can murder someone”, because if somebody touches these girls, I’m gonna bite your throat out.”

Edge was drafted to Smackdown in the 2023 WWE Draft this past Friday on Smackdown. It’s the brand that he spent a lot of years on where he became a top guy, so it’s a brand that he is very familiar with.
