Eddie Kingston Makes AEW Return On Dynamite

Eddie Kingston makes entrance

Eddie Kingston had some old scores to settle as he returned to AEW television on Dynamite, but an old friend wasn’t too happy to see him.

Back in March Eddie Kingston stunned AEW fans with the simple message “I quit AEW, peace” as he apparently walked out on the company. Following that Kingston began appearing in Ring of Honor and challenged Claudio Castagnoli for the ROH World Title at Supercard of Honor a few weeks later.

Kingston and Castagnoli do not like each other and haven’t for years, and it appears losing to his old enemy has stuck with The Mad King as he made a sensational return to AEW on Dynamite.

The main event of the show saw The Blackpool Combat Club battle The Hung Bucks in a wild trios match. Eddie Kingston took the opportunity to make his return – wearing a shirt paying tribute to Tony Schiavone’s wife – and took out Castagnoli immediately, dropping him and Wheeler Yuta with his spinning back fist.

Intriguingly, that brought Kingston’s close friend Jon Moxley face to face with him as Moxley was obviously upset that his partners were taken out.

The wild brawl saw the team of Adam Page and The Young Bucks pick up the win just a few days before CM Punk returns to the company on Dynamite. Konosuke Takeshita and Kenny Omega also made their presence felt after the match as the gang warfare continues in AEW.
