Eddie Kingston isn’t shy about voicing his opinion. And recently, he has added his voice to the cacophony of opinions over AEW’s recent backstage turmoil.

There have been several high-profile arguments and real fights in AEW’s locker room over the past few months. Eddie Kingston was in one of them following his kerfuffle with Sammy Guevara, which led to Kingston being suspended for two weeks and the pair’s All Out match being postponed. But other backstage conflicts have joined Kingston’s in the discussion over AEW’s backstage environment: The CM Punk/Elite All Out Fallout, Sammy Guevara vs Andrade El Idolo, and whatever’s going on with Thunder Rosa.

But Eddie Kingston has taken a look at his situation and the other ones and has come to a simple conclusion. In an interview with ESPR, Kingston blames AEW’s backstage problems on a mix of egos and poor communication skills.

“It’s real simple, you have a bunch of people back there with egos. Some people believe other people don’t deserve to be in AEW, other people do believe they deserve to be in AEW, so when you have a bunch of men and women who don’t know how to use their words, things are going to happen in the back.”
