ECW Icon Doesn’t See Themselves In WWE Hall Of Fame
Former ECW Champion Raven doesn’t think Vince McMahon sees him as a potential candidate to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
In 2024, WrestleMania 40 will emanate from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA. The show is sure to be one of the biggest in the history of WWE but the city’s connection to wrestling will forever be tied to the extreme spirit of Paul Heyman’s ECW.
ECW was based in the City of Brotherly Love and many fans are hoping that the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame might have an extreme edge to it because of the connection – but one former ECW star doesn’t think they’ll be a part of it.
Speaking to PWMania, Raven explained why he thinks he’ll never be part of the WWE Hall of Fame and why being inducted into IMPACT Wrestling’s one means a lot to him:
“I’m not expecting that to happen. I don’t think they see me that way. I don’t think Vince sees me that way. And obviously, if he saw me in that light, he would have used me better when I was there, so yeah, that’s not happening. I would almost bet everything I own that I’m not going to be inducted this year or any year in the future. And I think that’s why the Impact thing means a lot to me.
Also the IMPACT thing they only do one person a year. So that means a lot too, because you’re not doing five, six people are you know, half a dozen. Well, I guess five or six is half a dozen.”
Raven also commented on Tommy Dreamer’s recent remarks over his old rival’s health and says that Dreamer is living in a “work shoot world.”
