Drew McIntyre is being featured heavily on WWE Raw but the star could be in his final few months in the company.

Drew McIntyre’s WWE contract ends shortly after WrestleMania 40 and there has been fierce speculation over what his future holds.

WWE raised eyebrows by advertising Drew McIntyre for a new show in May and that could well have pointed to the belief that the Scottish star is staying put.

Drew McIntyre Excited By New WWE Direction

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that McIntyre is seemingly happy with his new direction in WWE and it now looks likely that he’ll sign a new deal to stay:

Drew McIntyre was announced for a show in May in Italy. Obviously his contract is up in April, so the first question was has he signed a new deal? The answer to that is no he has not signed a new deal, but he seems very happy so far with his new character and he’s really excited about it.

They are working with the idea that he’s not going anywhere, but nothing is signed. The talk of him taking a lot of time off and everything like that, probably not. He’ll probably sign a new deal, but it’s still just a probable until it happens.

Drew McIntyre will be part of the huge men’s Elimination Chamber match in Australia with the winner of that match getting a shot at Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40.
