WWE Star Expected To Miss Final Raw Before SummerSlam
A big name in WWE is expected to miss the final Raw before SummerSlam due to other commitments.
Drew McIntyre is not expected to appear on this Monday’s July 31st edition of Raw, which will be just five days before his Intercontinental Title match at SummerSlam.
One of the biggest matches at WWE SummerSlam next Saturday, August 5th in Detroit will see the dominant Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER defend the championship against perhaps his toughest challenger to date, Drew McIntyre.
On last week’s Raw, the former two-time WWE Champion McIntyre looked as dominant as ever by beating Gunther’s buddy Ludwig Kaiser in a singles match. After the match, Drew overpowered Gunther and gave him a Powerbomb through the commentary table.
Following his incredible return at Money in the Bank earlier this month, McIntyre has targeted Gunther. McIntyre has also been a busy man because he’s been filming a movie called The Killer’s Game with WWE legend Dave Bautista and Ice Cube.
Drew McIntyre Will Miss Final WWE Raw Before SummerSlam
It has been reported by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio that movie commitments will likely keep McIntyre off Monday’s Raw as well.
“Also, Drew McIntyre is doing the movie he was doing two weeks ago. I believe he’s in Budapest, Hungary, right now. If not, he will be tomorrow. So, he won’t be there on Raw.”
This Monday’s Raw takes place in Houston, Texas. On the WWE website, the top stars advertised for the show are Brock Lesnar, Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, Seth “Freakin” Rollins, GUNTHER and Sami Zayn.
