Drew McIntyre Could Dethrone Cody Rhodes After Shocking WWE Return

Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Championship reign could come to an end this Saturday.

Last month, The American Nightmare successfully defended his title against The Scottish Warrior at Wrestlepalooza. On the October 17 episode of SmackDown, the latter was supposed to square off with Jacob Fatu in a number-one contender’s match.

Nevertheless, the bout was canceled after The Samoan Werewolf was mysteriously attacked backstage. While McIntyre demanded that he be named the number-one contender, he was interrupted by Cody Rhodes, who accused him of taking out Fatu and decided to defend his title against him on the spot.

The Undisputed WWE Championship match, however, ended in McIntyre’s victory via disqualification after Rhodes hit him with the title belt. It was later announced that the two would go head-to-head once again at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Could Logan Paul Cost Cody Rhodes The Undisputed WWE Title?

On a recent episode of his Notsam Wrestling podcast, WWE analyst Sam Roberts was asked by a fan whether Logan Paul could interfere in Cody Rhodes’ match against Drew McIntyre. The Maverick has been absent from the Stamford-based company since he lost to John Cena at Clash in Paris last August.

The 42-year-old WWE personality claimed Rhodes must lose the title to McIntyre if Paul intervened in the square-off.

If Logan Paul interferes in that match, Drew better win the title. Because we’ve already seen Logan Paul vs. Cody Rhodes, like we’ve seen Logan Paul vs. John Cena. Like, we’ve seen those matches. So, I mean it’s possible if that’s where you wanna go. And there could be a connection between Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre.

And It has been a while since we saw Logan Paul. And I like the idea of Drew McIntyre being champion and then Cody Rhodes has a rivalry with Logan Paul. I think that a Cody Rhodes-Logan Paul rivalry where there’s no championship, so you don’t know where it’s gonna go, I think that could be very entertaining.
