Dragon Lee Breaks Silence On WWE Absence
There’s a very good reason behind Dragon Lee’s absence from WWE Raw.
Dragon Lee signed with WWE in late 2022 but was forced to wait until April the following year to make his in-ring debut.
Lee went on to challenge for the NXT Championship before eventually winning the North American Title after beating Dominik Mysterio. Although he lost the gold to Oba Femi, that defeat ultimately cemented his arrival on the main roster, and Lee continued to be part of SmackDown before being drafted to Raw.
During this period he became an official part of the LWO and has remained a member of the faction since, but when Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde backed up Rey Mysterio on the January 21st of Raw, he was nowhere to be seen.
However, it seems he was missing for a very good reason.
Dragon Lee Explains Hiatus
In a new video posted on his Instagram Stories, Lee revealed he’s eagerly awaiting the arrival of his second daughter who’s expected any day now.
“Hey everyone! Hope y’all are doing well. I don’t usually share my personal stuff, but I want to grab my phone and do it today because I am happy and anxious because in a few days I will hold in my hands my new princess that is on the way. She could (arrive) today, tomorrow, the day after, this weekend or even next week but she is coming, so I am very excited to receive my second princess, well actually third counting my first child and my wife.
That’s been the reason why I have not been at work recently, I have been helping my wife but you will see a stronger Dragon Lee and giving my best as I always do inside that ring soon. Sending hugs to everyone!” (H/t Fightful)
Dragon Lee is yet to wrestle in 2025, although he remains the WWE Speed Champion. There’s no word on when the star will return to television.
Everyone at TJR Wrestling would like to send their best wishes to Dragon Lee and his family.
