Dominik Mysterio has revealed new details behind his iconic WrestleMania 39 entrance.
WWE’s annual showpiece Premium Live Event is famed for legendary entrances over the years with many spectacular arrivals to the ring for the likes of Shawn Michaels, Triple H and John Cena living as long in the memory as the matches themselves.
Dominik Mysterio added his name to that prestigious list during night one of WrestleMania 39 on 1st April 2023.
The 26 year-old member of the Judgment Day was in terrific form ahead of the event, cementing himself a reputation as a hated villain with the fans following an angle that saw him arrested for attacking his family alongside Rhea Ripley on Thanksgiving 2022.
What followed was an entertaining build up to a highly anticipated encounter with his Father, Rey Mysterio, at the ‘Showcase Of The Immortals’, with the younger Mysterio portraying himself as a dangerous ex-con.
Mysterio would arrive in the entrance way at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles accompanied by law enforcement officers and locked in handcuffs.
Discussing the unique entrance recently in an interview with The Sporting Tribune, Mysterio revealed that the entrance was the brainchild of Triple H and noted his surprise at the positive reaction it continues to recieve:
“Honestly, that entrance was a complete surprise.
It was very cool that I got to have my own special entrance and the fact that people remember it that much still, almost a year later. It was really special”
