What Happened At WWE NXT Great American Bash

The NXT Premium Live Event saw 1 title change take place in the opening match of the show, as Tony D’Angelo and “Stacks” became the Tag Team Champions for the first time in their careers. Gallus would attack the new champions on the following episode of NXT, which led to D’Angelo calling backup in the form of old rival Santos Escobar.

The main event saw Carmelo Hayes successfully defend the NXT Championship against Ilja Dragunov, with Trick Williams at ringside to support Hayes. Also on the following episode of NXT, Williams expressed to Hayes that he needs to go solo to prove himself to the NXT Universe that he is more than a sidekick.
