Dave Meltzer On Adam Cole’s Return – “Could Be Tomorrow, Could Be Never”
A new report on AEW’s Adam Cole suggests that the star could be ready to return to the ring tomorrow but equally that it might never happen.
Adam Cole has been out of action since competing in a four-way match at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view in June where he challenged for the IWGP World Heavyweight Title. Prior to that match, there were suggestions Cole was struggling with injury after his finals match against Samoa Joe in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament at Double Or Nothing.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer has given the latest update on the situation surrounding Adam Cole and says his absence is down to a “real bad concussion” and never being able to return to the ring is on the table:
“I mean it’s a concussion, a bad concussion, real bad concussion but I have not heard. I don’t know if we’ll like – he’ll be back when he’s cleared, it could be tomorrow, it could be never, know what I mean?”
Adam Cole debuted for AEW at All Out 2021 where he joined up with his old Bullet Club partners The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega once again. Following their exit from WWE, Cole then also reunited with his Undisputed ERA partners Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish. O’Reilly is currently out of action due to a serious injury of his own and Bobby Fish has since left the company after his contract expired.
